However, with the advent of Over-the-Top (OTT) set-top-boxes (Roku, Popbox, Boxee, Sezmi, ZillionTV), Internet connected game consoles (Wii, PS3, Xbox), and Internet enabled TVs (LG HDTV, Sony Bravia) & Blue-Ray players (Panasonic, Philips, Samsung), web content can be streamed over the Internet and can be watched in the comfort of the living room TV. Many of these hardware vendors have opened their platforms for developers to develop third-party applications/channels to bring any type of multi-media content to living room TVs.
