Leverage our expertise in UI design and development, experience in software implementation on various set-top boxes, and understanding of multi-media content (video, music, photo) representation on the TV.

Content Providers

Semi-professional (Revision3, Blip.tv) and user generated (Youtube, Dailymotion, Flickr) content that has become popular in the last few years has been available only on the PC until recently. However, with the advent of Over-the-Top (OTT) set-top-boxes (Roku, Popbox, Boxee, Sezmi, ZillionTV), Internet connected game consoles (Wii, PS3, Xbox), and Internet enabled TVs (LG HDTV, Sony Bravia) & Blue-Ray players (Panasonic, Philips, Samsung), web content can be streamed over the Internet and can be watched in the comfort of the living room TV. Many of these hardware vendors have opened their platforms for developers to develop third-party applications/channels to bring any type of multi-media content to living room TVs.

While these avenues offer new distribution channels for content providers, content owners now have to understand the various set-top box programming (SDK) paradigms to develop applications/channels for these boxes. TvAppsRus fills this gap by making it easy for content producers by letting them focus on creating great content while offloading the burden of application development to us to bring their content to more consumers.

Hardware Providers

The appeal of OTT services is their ability to provide easy on-demand access to huge number of niche multi-media content which is typically not available on traditional cable and satellite offerings. Like Apple iPhone, the success of these OTT set-top boxes to a large extent is determined by the quality and number of applications on the platform. Hence, hardware providers and their content partners who are constrained on software and design resources can leverage our expertise to bring content to their users in a timely manner.
